We went to the San Francisco Zoo for Labor Day, along with most of the other families in the Bay Area. I had the best time ever! My favorite animals were the lemurs and the ducks. I waved and waved and waved to the lemurs, but I don't think they could see me because they didn't wave back. Same with the ducks. The goats were okay, but I definitely wasn't going to touch them.
We're in Paso Robles visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Sherrie and Great Grandma Pat. Mom and Dad made me sleep in the hotel bathroom. It's not as bad as it sounds. And Dad made it up to me by doing my hair before we went out the next morning. Don't let his hairstyle fool you - he's really good at combing hair.
Even though it was cloudy and cold and I didn't get to go in the pool, we had the best time. Most of it was about eating. Uncle Jim took us to breakfast at Hoovers in Atascadero, and Mom and Dad and I had lunch at the Custom House in Avila Beach. And then I slept at Jim and Sherrie's place while Mom and Dad went out and ate some more. Also, I can now eat three times as much in one sitting as I could last week. And I love green beans - who knew?
But the best part of the weekend was playing on the swing with my cousin Dominic. He told me I was the best baby in the whole wide world. I love my cousin Dominic.
I also love cats.
I know that Easter is over, but I still like playing with my Easter basket.
And I've been practicing eating my carrots, just like the Easter bunny.
This carrot tastes way better than the rice cereal Mom keeps feeding me.
I woke up pretty excited about Easter. Mom thought my polka-dot pajamas made me look like an Easter egg.
Hmmm. What's up with the holiday jammies?
Anyway, I ate a big meal (that's a whole separate post) and then we went to church. I loved all the music and singing. I even did a little singing myself.
But the Easter dress...not such a big fan.
At least we finally solved the mystery of why my hair poofs up all the time. I can now officially blame it on Mom.

I'm having lots of fun at the ranch. I went for a walk on the prairie with Mom and Dad and Nana and met the dogs and the horses and the cows. But I was most excited about meeting my Great Grandma Mimi. My new year's resolution is to go for more fun walks outside just like this.
By the way, I was nice and cozy even though it's very cold and windy here, thanks to the pink baby bunting from Auntie Jen and the knit hat that Meghan made for me.
We had a nice Christmas dinner last night with our friends Rick and Silje. Rick tells the best stories.
Now that Christmas is officially behind us, I have to admit that I'm just a little relieved not to have to wear my Santa hat any more, and I'm ready to celebrate Boxing Day. That being the day, of course, when Mom takes the new toys out of their boxes and tries to put them together. I got an Evenflow(R) ExerSaucer(R) Triple Fun(TM) 3 Stage Active Learning Center(TM). It came in a really big box. At first, Mom wasn't going to get it for me. But when she found out that all the other kids in my play group (well, at least two of the kids) were getting one for Christmas, she relented.
Any bets on how long it will take her to put it together? Dad is guessing one day, minimum.
I have a cold. Which means that I'm getting lots of quality time with the nasal aspirator. But I'm still pretty psyched for Christmas. Mom is going to make clam chowder, and we're going to Christmas mass tonight - it's a family tradition. Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!
Since my pajamas sort of make me look like a candycane, Mom and Dad thought it would be funny to put me in my Christmas stocking. Really, Mom and Dad. This is not as cute as you think it is.
I got a nice, early start to the four-day holiday weekend. Mom, Dad and I walked to town and got pastries and coffee at the Copenhagen Bakery. Maybe it was too early of a start. Dad and I had to take a nap later in the day. Aaaah - I love four-day weekends!
By the way, the full-body sweater Mom's friends Susan and Jeff gave me is so cozy!
Inspired by the Christmas outfit Auntie Jen sent me with the snow bunnies and ski bears, I decided to practice my ski jump technique. First, I get ready for take-off, then I launch into the air with my legs straight. I can't wait to get to the mountains and try it out on real snow.
Also, I've almost figured out how to suck my thumb.
